Addressing

County Wide System


Land Services is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the county wide enhanced 9-1-1 addressing system (E-911), which was created to save lives in the event of an emergency.  Addresses are assigned through this department for the entire county, including most cities. Address applications can be completed online.  If your property is located within one of the cities within Crow Wing County please contact your city when requesting an address.  

Any person constructing or relocating a structure in a governmental jurisdiction where addressing is maintained by the County, must submit a completed Address application with the designated fee before a valid address may be issued.  Note: Please be sure you have an entrance permit from the proper road authority.  Township or County Highway department, if on a county road or located in 1st Assessment or 2nd Assessment and the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MNDot) if located on a state highway.

No utility operating in the county, shall furnish its utility service to any newly built or relocated structure in a governmental jurisdiction, where addressing is maintained by the County, until a valid address has been issued by the department.
