Visitation Appointments & Hours
Appointments are required to visit an inmate and must be made at least 1 day in advance of the visit by calling 218-822-7050 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 p.m., Monday through Friday. Public visiting will not be scheduled on observed County Holidays. Public visits are conducted through video visitation and are limited to 20 minutes. Hours are as follows:
  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday
    12 pm - 2 pm (last appt is @ 1:30 pm)
    2:30 pm - 4 pm (last appt is @ 3:30 pm)
  • Tuesday and Thursday
    6:30 pm - 8 pm (last appt is @7:30 pm)
    8:30 pm - 10 pm (last appt is @ 9:30 pm)
Additional Visiting Requirements
  • Visitors must present a valid driver's license or Government issued photo identification card showing proof of age and identity.
  • Visitors must be at least 18 years of age, or if under the age of 18, accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Minors must be supervised at all times and included in the appointment.
  • A visitor is allowed to schedule 2 visits per day, however, may visit the same inmate only once per day.
  • Warrant checks are performed on each visitor prior to a scheduled visit. Visitors must provide their full name (first, middle and last name) and date of birth when scheduling a visit.
  • All visits are subject to monitoring and recording.
  • Any visitor under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be denied a visit and asked to leave.
  • Inmates are allowed a maximum of 2 visits per day.
  • Visitors must remain seated in the chair that is provided, if found in violation of this rule, future visits may be denied.
  • No food, drink, cell phones or personal items are allowed in the visiting area. Lockers are available upon arrival.
  • Only 1 visitor is allowed per scheduled visit, unless a minor is with them.
  • Visitation is allowed only during the specified times.
  • Visits are scheduled every 30 minutes. Please arrive at your scheduled time. If you are more than 10 minutes late, your visit will be cancelled and you will not be allowed to visit.
  • Visitors are subject to a search before entering the visiting area. Refusal to search will result in no visit.
  • Visitors must wear proper attire at all times. No tank tops, no cut-offs (shorts must cover to mid-thigh), and shirts must cover to neck and sleeves past shoulders. All clothes must be loose fitting. Footwear is mandatory. We have the discretion to refuse a visitor based on inappropriate attire.

***The Crow Wing County Jail reserves the right to terminate a visit at any time for inappropriate language, behavior, noise level, dress attire or a visit which may pose a threat to the safety and security of our facility.
