Multi-Purpose Trails
Spring-Summer-Fall Use
Trails are open for spring-summer-fall uses. Please comply with "No Motorized Vehicle" trail signs and report any violations. Larson Lake trail was mowed on 9/20/2012 and Wolf Lake trail was mowed on 9/09/2012.

Wolf Lake Trail - All trails packed & tracked this morning, Wednesday, March 20, 2013.  Great spring time skiing. 

Larson Lake Trail - All Classic tracks groomed & set on Tuesday, March 19, 2013.  Skating lanes also packed & groomed.  Great spring time skiing.

Larson Lake Trail
Larson Lake Trail
Larson Lake Trail is a multi-purpose trail system; hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, horseback riding.  The terrain is rolling hills.  Trails go through a predominately oak forest.  Many trail segments encircle tamarack and black spruce bogs.  Large diameter red and white pines are also present in several areas.  Intermediate skiing ability is suggested.  You will need a DNR ski pass for this trail. Directions:  Larson Lake Trail is located south of Deerwood.  Follow State Hwy 6 south, turn left on Co. Rd. 10.

Wolf Lake Trail
Wolf Lake Trail
Wolf Lake Trail is a multi-purpose trail system; hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, horseback riding.  The terrain is level to hilly.  The forest is a mixture of hardwoods and mature pines.  Map/Additional Info
Directions:  South of Deerwood Shortcut turn south on Tower Road, turn right onto N Nelson Road OR follow State Hwy 18 east from Brainerd, turn left on Co. Rd. 159, stay straight onto N. Nelson Road.

Additional Information
  • On some trails you need a Minnesota Ski Pass.  You can go to the DNR website for more ski pass information.
