Crow Wing County began its E-911 Addressing Project in 1994. The purpose of this was to have standards in place regarding road names, road signs, house signs and the development of an official Crow Wing County MSAG (Master Street Addressing Guide).
The MSAG provides information instantly to 911 dispatchers as to who the correct responders are (law enforcement, fire department, ambulance and first responders) for an address or location in the case of an emergency. Crow Wing County 911 Communications Center began taking the E-911 calls in early 1997.
Please make sure that your address sign for your residence can be seen by responders, especially in the winter months. If your sign is damaged or missing, please call the Crow Wing County Land Services Department at 218-824-1298.
