Absentee and Mail Precinct ballots soon to be in mailboxes of Crow Wing County voters

Voters in Crow Wing County who requested an absentee ballot for the November 3rd election will begin to see them arriving in their mailbox within the next few days. Voters in mail ballot precincts will have their ballots mailed to them by September 30th.

Crow Wing County Historic Courthouse celebrates 100th year

2020 marks the 100th year of the Historic Courthouse in downtown Brainerd, located at 326 Laurel Street. Construction was completed for approximately $280,000. Multiple bids for construction were received and contracts were awarded July 1919.

COVID CASPER Study to be conducted in Crow Wing County 9/24-9/26

A team from MDH will be in CWC 9/24- 9/26 collecting data for the COVID CASPER study. 4 areas in CWC will be targeted: 2 in Brainerd, 1 in Crosslake & 1 in Nisswa. They will conduct interviews & take blood & nasal swap samples. Participation is voluntary.

Crow Wing County offers early voting for November 3rd General Election

Residents can vote early by absentee ballot in person at the Elections Office at the Historic Courthouse. Voters who have already applied for an absentee ballot, or who live in a mail ballot precinct will have their ballots mailed by Friday 9/25/20.

Crow Wing County Sheriff Scott Goddard announced the commencement of the Law Enforcement Scholarship Program for 2020. Sheriff Goddard announced that the MSA Board of Directors has established a scholarship fund for awarding up to 15 - $600 scholarships.
